Get inspired! Then write, shoot, and edit your own short film! Here are the rules:
- Submissions must be original work.
- Edits should be 5 minutes or less.
- Videos must be uploaded online.
- Enter by April 1st, 2018.
Whether you're drawing inspiration from skits like Chocolate POW, Lil Keenan, or Invisible Boards, or you're totally on your own shit, we want to see what you got!
Winners will be picked by directors Spike Jonze & Cory Weincheque and announced on April 15th, 2018. Enter below!

Q: When does the contest start?
A: Contest entries will be accepted beginning February 1st thru April 1st 11:59PM PST.
Q: What if I live outside of the US?
A: Worldwide entries are welcome however the trip to Los Angeles is only for citizens of U.S.A and Canada.
Q: How will entries be judged?
A: Spike and Cory will be considering 1) concept 2) execution 3) creativity 4) style (in no particular order).
Q: Can I film it on my phone?
A: Of course! The best camera is the one you have on you! There are no restrictions on equipment or video format so long as you can upload it to your favorite video service and send us a link.
Q: How do I upload my video?
A: Pick your favorite video site and upload your video. Copy and paste the video link into our entry form. Presto! We recommend using Youtube or Vimeo. You can also use Facebook, Instagram, Metacafe, or any other service that allows you to upload and share videos.
Q: Can it be a “skate video”?
A: We're open minded to anything you want to send but take a look at our videos. Most of them feature skateboarding but creativity is also very important!
Q: Are you going to post my video to the internet?
A: We reserve the right to post or share any entries. If we really like your submission chances are we'll want to share it. Winners will have their videos featured on crailtap.com and our Girl Films Archive site for a limited time.
Q: What if I live in California? Or Los Angeles?
A: Lucky you! If you live close and you win then you may not have to fly but you'll still get the royal treatment as a grand prize winner.

PRIZES:
Grand Prize: One short film will be chosen as the grand prize winner. Winner will receive an all expense paid trip for two to Los Angeles, California to hang with the team while they film for an upcoming video project. Grand Prize winner will also receive the Girl Films / Chocolate Cinema Prize-Pack including 8 skateboards, entire apparel collection, and recognition across Girl and Chocolate social platforms and a featured blog post on crailtap.com.
Two Runner-Up Prizes: Two films will be chosen as runner-ups. Winners will receive the Girl Films / Chocolate Cinema Prize-Pack including 8 skateboards, entire apparel collection, and recognition across Girl and Chocolate social platforms and a featured blog post on crailtap.com.
*Grand Prize trip to Los Angeles only applies to entrants from U.S.A. and Canada.
